Overcoming Issues

"To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just a I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne." Revelation 3:21

Football season is quickly approaching and everyone is bringing out their football attire and gear in preparation for another season. We are getting ready for gameday! The teams practice hard and apply what they learn in scrimmages. The coach is there to correct what the players need to work on and the players are there to help motivate each other to do better. All of this hard work and preparation pays off on gameday, hopefully. In marriage, couples do not get to have scrimmages, instead, everyday is gameday. We have to practice each day to make the marriage better. This is a very hard thing to do because many factors come in to play. There is pride, stubborness, time constraints, and many other factors that become distractions which keeps our focus away practicing to have a successful marriage. Since everyday is a gameday, we have to review the film (read the word of God), have scrimmages (apply God's word), and play the game (reap the benefits). We have to overcome the obstacles that are our distractions in a marriage in order to "win" the game. Pray today that you will tranform your marriage by asking God to help you focus on overcoming your obstacle that stands in your way! Overcome!

God Bless!
